Who We Are

Corla Bertrand

Corla comes to us from Chico where she was a leader in the Butte County Homeless Continuum of Care and the executive director of the Chico Community Shelter Partnership, a homeless shelter that serves men, women and families. A native of northern California, Corla is very pleased to find a new home in Quincy and Passages. A wilderness guide since 1996, she is passionate about sharing the healing power of wilderness experience. Corla has a master’s degree in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and her self-designed undergraduate studies focused on cross cultural practices for "coming of age."

Callie Saenz

Callie Saenz is the Office Manager and has been with Passages from the beginning. She has enjoyed the many people that Passages has worked with over the years. Working at Passages has been a life changing learning experience. Callie has recently taken up sky-diving just to prove she has wings. Callie has two grown kids and she keeps busy spending time with her little grandson.

Jamie Williams

Jamie Williams, Youth Program Coordinator, joined Passages in 2007 with nearly a decade of experience working with youth and organizing youth-oriented events. Ms. Williams began working with children as a volunteer through programs such as Plumas County Outdoor Education and Quincy Elementary School's library. She studied elementary education and conceptual physics at Sonoma State University after which she returned to her hometown of Quincy. Ms. Williams strives to increase the self-esteem and self-reliance, leadership skills and body image of youth in Plumas County. She hopes to bring outdoor recreation and environmental
science programming to youth so they may improve their lives and facilitate social change in their communities through leadership development and support networks. For any information regarding youth programs please contact Ms. Williams at

Anna is currently taking the lead on the New Beginnings program (besides providing office support to the staff and board); she is pursuing her business degree, and has two small children. Through her work at Passages, Anna hopes to help other mothers realize their true potential and show them that even in motherhood; they can still pursue their dreams.
